Need two new tyres, both had punctures repaired very closr to side wall. My local fitter wanted £120 each plus fitting so i thought id shop around on the NET. Is there a better alternative to the P-zero..

I've just changed my 205x45x17 Pzero's for Yokohama AVS Sports on the recommendation of a friend with a Scoob who's been using them for a while.
I wasn't that impressed with the Pzero's in the wet - they weren't very grippy so I didn't want to replace them. So far, have found the AVS Sports to be a nice grippy tyre. Driving normally in the wet they feel very good. Driving hard in the dry they are also very good but haven't pushed them yet in the wet so can't comment.
Many people on here recommend the F1's or the GSD3's but opinions will vary greatly.
Good luck
