Been quoted a reasonable price on these tyres and need to fit some new tyres this Saturday as current ones are at the end of their shelf life.

Anyone got any views/experience of these?

I think I remember reading in a post that Avon are really really bad so much so that they are dangerous. I have F1 GSD3's and Im very happy much better than the Bridgestone I had.

They came lastish in the EVO review a few months ago and I have only heard terrible things on here about them ...

The previous ZZ1's were utter rubbish, can't imagine these being much better from their position in the tyre test as mentioned above.

What gets me, is the ad's in Evo for Avon, they have them on an STI

Avon are going to have to come up with something remarkable to banish the memories of the ZZ1's - they were a shockingly bad tyre.
I made that mistake because they were cheap. I can now get them free, yes free, but I'm sticking with the Goodyear F1's thank you.

I have the ZZ3s on my STi8 - not the one in their picture though. I won them in the SIDC Japfest competition and are better than the standard tyres the car comes with.

I have noticed that they squeal a lot when going around roundabouts at relatively high speed and it can get interesting! Haven't tried any other tyre on this car so difficult to compare.

Interestingly the guy who is pushing these at Avon came from Toyo and the advertising picture is almost the same as the old Toyo one!!
