i had my car serviced 2 weeks ago by subaru and got mintex pads put on the front(i have 2 pot calipers) with black diamond combi discs and they are still squealing under light breaking when i break harder there not to bad at squealing but to much breaking under mild conditions and they start smoking quite badly are mintex known for this as my old standard pads never made noise or smoked

certainly shouldn't be smoking and in use on various competition cars have never had any noise as such........how did you bed them in?? this is a "competition" type material and would benefit from an aggressive "bedding".......although you have to be careful if you've fitted new discs at the same time!!
