I've got a high pitch intermittent noise coming from the front right of the car. Its only really audible with the window down and very annoying. Especially noticable going down multi storey car parks (lots of right turns). As soon as I apply the brake it stops. Anybody have any idea what this could be?

Could be a number of things. Could be the bearing starting to fail, in which case you might find the car pulling to the right when braking hard. More likely though it'll be something directly to do with the brakes.
Might be a bit of grit or other rubbish lodged in one of the pads, which you'd probably be able to remove once you've got them out.
First thing to rule out though would be the pad wear indicators.

I've been getting the same thing for the past 3-4 months.
I drive for 30 minutes or so and then let the car stand for 5 minutes. When I then pull away, I drive using as much right lock as possible and there's a high pitched squeal. (this shows up best in empty car parks)
I've sometimes noticed it when driving in a straight line after a period of 'heavy brake use', but a quick touch on the brake pedal clears the noise.
Applying brakes in both cases stops the noise (even when the right lock is still being applied) so I ruled out bearings ... but I might be wrong.
My front discs and pads are well worn, so this I think is the root of the problem.
The front's are being changed this weekend for some nice Pagid 8 groove discs, RS42 pads, Goodridge hoses and Silkolene fluid

Yep, i get this too.
Usually always get it after some heavy breaking, then other times, probably a small stone or similar stuck behind the pad.
Bl00dy annoying.

I have a similar problem with my Brembo brakes on my STi7. If I drive in a straight line with the road slightly off camber it starts to squeal. Its damned annoying and gets worse after heavy breaking. I have had the pads replaced with OEM ones and its still the same. Putting my foot lightly on the pedal stops it so I didnt think it was bearings either?

Well car looked at and I believe they dusted the pads off. Its been a week since that and the squeal has returned albeit intermittently.
