Tyre Pressures for 17s...
#1
Could some of you please let me know what the recommended psi's are for running on 17s please? Had my car a few weeks now and it has 17s on it and want to check the pressures tonight. I've read that Prodrive recommend 33 psi for the fronts and 30 psi for the rears. Is this the best to go for or does anyone else do differently???
Many thanks
Dan.

Hmmm...
I run the same pressure front and rear to get rid of some understeer.
I would say how much pressure depends on how stiff the sidewall is: the stiffer it is, the less pressure you need.
To see how stiff the sidewall is, a good indicator is the load rating of the tyre: it will say something like 87W or 91Y on the tyre side wall. The higher that number, the higher the weight that can be put on it, ie the stiffer.
Check out that load rating and play around with the pressures, but only one axle at a time,a nd careful!
