Will 8x19's go on a classic, with 215x35x19 tyres.

Tyres will rub with 7.5x19's I know, but do 8x19's clear the strut's?

Thumbs up

Cheers Rusty,

That's prity much what happens with 7.5x19's on 215/35 rubber when the car is lowered by about 40mm.
Front tyres slightly catch the plastic inner arch on full lock, and rear tyres catch back arches under hard cornering.

If your putting 225 tyres on, and some people are putting 8x18 inch wheels on, then there is a chance that 8x19 will go on a classic, with a 52 mm offset, and 215/35/19 tyres.
Rubbing at the back can be curred with better suspension. Rubbing at the front can be cured with modifing the part of the arch that is fowling the tyre.

Anyyone else think this is feasable?

I put the 7.5 x 17's (225 x 45 x 17) from a MY02 WRX STi Type UK on my classic Sport and they caught the front inner arch on full lock and the rear struts on fast cornering

However, 7 x 17's (215 x 45 x 17) from a MY03 WRX have been spot on

HTH

Edit to change profiles as I had put 35 profile when should have been 45 profile
