Bah, not sure that the 325mm kit will fit behind speedline chronos, limited clearance. Check it out. The bigger kits have wider discs than the 308mm kit!
My brembos are pretty much bedded in now, they work much better than the 2 pots as expected. I don't have to worry about braking anymore when pressing on like I did with the old setup. Was on desserted road other day and slammed them on from 65ish they hauled me to a stop in no time with just a hint of abs, nice.
Have ferrodo pads in, very good no squeel around town warm up quick to.

Bah,
Ive just got the 325mm Brembo conversion, i'm still bedding them in really. But they do feel feel good, although not used in full anger yet!

I go to the TTS meets - next one this tues i presume, so if you wanna have a look then, no prob.

I had 2 pots, so was gonna buy 2nd hand subaru 4 pots then go for the 335mm Godspeed kit, but these 4 pots were gonna cost 250 - 300, so add this to the price of Ians 335mm kit. Its the same as the full 325mm Brembo package.

So no copmetition really - had to go for Brembo kit!!!!

But if you got 16" rims and Subaru 4 pots already the equation becomes a little more even. Is it worth the extra £300 for Brembos ???? Dunno thats up to you. Id say yes, you could even sell subaru 4 pots for nealy £300 coz they are always wanted.

Cheers
Dave

The Brembo kit is £200 more but the calipers are much better / nicer , they are alloy where the other ones are steel , you get a bigger caliper with bigger pads , and the brembo kit includes a pair of braided hoses on the front , the other kit doesn't as the standard hoses fit ,
I have just fitted a Brembo kit to my own car , and I have a choice of them all ...

Cheers Ian

Bah,
Quite honestley i'm not sure if we've met. I've seen your car coz i remember it having "Bah" or summat like that on your number plate. i was sat next to ninnybobs while he "chaired" the meet!!

At the last meet, we met at ramside, My car was the only one that was facing the wrong way !! (or was that everyone esle was wrong - not sure!!) Its a White MY95 STi2 Type RA.

I realise now you did say KIT, so dunno why i was blabbin on about selling your subaru 4 pots. So you gota buy a "kit". Like Ian says- if you go for the 308mm option the difference is £200 for Brembos. These are a far better caliper, and £200 can hardly get you a set of decent pads these days!!!

Personnaly i'd say Boll*x and go for the 325mm kit.
Your quite welcome to come n have a look, or i'll see you on Tuesday nite. Once you've seen em i'm sure you'll get em !!!

I fitted them myself - nowt to it really. Im no great mechanic, I can use a spanner and thats about it. As for Braided lines - i had them on oringinally and they only just fit they seem a bit tight (length wise). A mate of mine has some spare hose so i'll just take the ends off and put some stilghtly longer hose on.

Cheers
Dave

Cool

well i upgraded from std 2 pots to the godspeed 325mm kit with his own calipers and the difference is amazing. the only thing i would`nt recomend is the mintex pads as they squeel like mad round town, though they still work excellently. ian says he does a ferodo pad with does`nt squeel, but your better off talking to him about that.
