Of course they are only worth what someone is prepared to pay for them

But I have been following this because I was interested in buying some

I have seen the wanted price range from £850 - £600

I have also seen offered range from £450 upwards

I was offered a Brand new set incl tyres for £400 he pulled out of the deal because he decided to keep them.

Technically yes you would need to change the tyres [not sure of the exact size required]

I do know however that there are plenty of cars running on the slightly bigger tyre waiting for them to wear out before changing them

I am not sure what implication this has on the car though

Yes you will need to change the tyres if not then they catch in various places.
I paid £350 for a set that was unmarked but that was with out tyres so you ned to decide how much you could get for the tyres and how much its going to cost you to get a new set.
There must be a few guys out there with STi 7/8's that would buy the tyres of you but for how much ??
Ive got STi wheels on my 98 and think they look better on my car than on a STi 7
