Hi,
I have been trying to use 'search' but that has so far proved fruitless...
I have an 03 WRX with the 18" OZ Prodrive Ten spokes, ET53, and was wondering what kind of brake setup I could look to get.
I want to fit a big brake kit of some description at some point in the future (want to get a bit of wear out of the standard ones first!) but am unsure of what ones will fit under those wheels, or indeed how to go about working it out.
The STi Brembos obviously dont fit as the same wheel for the STi is ET46 I think, so I was just wondering what kind of setups I was looking at.
Cheers
John

You can fit whatever you want starting from STI 7 Brembos 330mm up to 372 mm KAD/ AP set offered by Scoobysport. With 18" wheels you have got there are plenty of options. I would certainly go for 372 mm 6 pots from SS. It' s the most powerful set-up for impreza.

Cheers for the reply.
Whats the deal with the STi brakes then? Is there a difference between the STI 7 and 8 brakes? As I was under the impression that the reason the same wheel for the STI was a different offset was due to having to clear the brakes?
lol, now I'm confused
Thanks for your suggestions, now I know there is quite a big choice.

Depends what you're gonna use it for, but Godspeed do a 355mm kit for under 18's!!!
It's probably the cheapest sensible option, as it uses the satndard calipers, but if you're going on track seriously, then maybe an option with alloy calipers would be better suited!

STI 7 & 8 Brembos are the same. I have the same wheels, your OZ wheels, code SACC 2511 will not clear the calipers. Prodrive offers SACC 2550 specially for the STI owners. The are plenty of options from just replacing the pads through to 6 pot upgrades. As a first step have you though about just changing the brake hoses to s/steel and puting in some decent fluid. This was the route I took and for a small investment was worth while. Budget £45 for hoses + £15 for fluid. I then went for the Alcon setup from prodrive (SACC 2475) combined with the above which gives awesome braking power with plenty of pedal feel.
