Ian,
I have left a couple of answer phone messages over the last couple of weeks with no reply - is it possible to get in touch with me about trying to resolve a problem with my discs. I think a disk is warped and as such was hoping it could be sorted out given that you have some kind of guarantee against them warping.
I know you are obviously busy, but would appreciate a response about how best to proceed.
Hugh
PS. I am positing on here in an attempt to be open and fair about how good your customer service is.

Ian,
does the 335mm kit HAVE to be tapped into the hub, or can it be fitted with as big a nut and bolt as possible, I'm buying a secondhand kit, and don't know if I'm getting the bolts or not.
Also, any chance of telling us users what the 335mm kit pads are made from, I'd like to see what running standard pads gives.

Quick update. Got a call from Ian today - Going to try to refit the disc (front passenger is the offender) to check for rust etc. If that doesn't help I will depatch them back to Wales for a quick bump and grind to rectify the problem.

Update:
Ian got my brakes to be ground down on monday and received them back today after a bit of bother with couriers etc. The garage have refitted them, but things seems to have got worse unfortunately rather than better.
[Section removed because it doesn't add anything constructive]
I really don't want to send my discs back to Ian again, so feel the only course of action is to get a replacement set. I will email Ian this evening on the off chance that he is working tomorrow.

Well, after some toing and froing, new discs were made up to replace the faulty ones and I also ordered some new pads (ferrodo DS2500 at £95). These were fitted today and after a quick 10 minute drive all is well again - no judder, no squealing. The ability of Ian's kit has been spoken about on Scoobynet extensively before, so I will simply say that it offers excellent value for money.
I cannot, however, say that getting everything sorted has been the easiest experience of my life, but Ian has been true to his word and has provided me with discs that now work. Communication is still an issue that I believe would improve the service that Ian offers no end, with it being distinctly passive rather than active (ie he replies to emails rather than sends them out of his own accord). I just would have appreciated a 30 second email saying that a delivery has been delayed or will be late - and given that every delivery I have expected from Ian has been late it became extremely frustrating.
I don't want this to be an attack because I believe Ian has alot to offer. I want him to do well and offer the best possible product/service - both for new customers and for me if/when I deal with him again.
