Have MY99 that really needs new discs and pads. Had narrowed down the contenders to Pagid Group N discs and pads from Scoobysport or Prodrive Alcon disc + pad upgrade from dealership.
I know price is differant but can anyone please give me some feedback on perofrmance of these kits????
Appreciate help as I'm tired of sticking my foot out the door and on to the tarmac every time I wanna stop!!!!!!!!!

I recently fitted the Pagid 8-groove discs and RS42 pads (I dont know if this is the group N kit?)
I am pretty pleased with them. Big improvement over standard in braking performance. Also cheaper than sticking with the Subaru items - cost just under £300.

the "prodrive" set-up can have wear issues with the original material and for the money is not as good as say the AP (IMO)..........
Pagid grooved with something like rs4.2.1 is one of our most popular options
alyn - as performance

I had the Pagid Group N+ kit fitted all round on MY00 6 weeks ago.
Very pleased with the performance and price (ScoobyNet membership helped reduce the costs vastly with dealer, go see the ScoobyShop link!)
The only negative point is that the hubs rust within a couple of weeks, so they don't stay nice & black for very long, but the performance out-weights this. Could always paint them!

i had Pagid discs and pads for 8 months, quite pleased with them until they warped. got new ones under warranty. replaced pads with mintex (cause pagid pads were £170!), which were not as good. Then i was working away for 3 months, when i came back, after a total of 6 weeks use of the new discs, one cracked right across the disc. they would not replace them because they were 3 weeks past 12 month warranty, even though they only lasted 6 weeks. Not pleased.

Boy, I would say there's nothing in it. Pagid with RS421 pads is proven and popular but I'm sure the Prodrive Alcon 294mm disc and pad upgrade (presumably Ferodo DS2000, but may be DS2500) is as good at very similar money. Prodrive disc has "spiral venting" which, in theroy, should make it quicker cooling.
All good discs will rust. Just paint the bells with Hamerite.
Richard.
