Anyone recommend the above, I need a 15" tyre, not sure about profile or width because the current tyres are competition use only and I cant remember the sizes. I need a set of four, very cheap, even part worn, but road legal, and MOT passable!!

Avon used to do some very good tyres for road rallying which were road legal but only lasted about 400 miles. Can't remember what they were called (Turbospeed or something equally cheesy IIRC), sorry...

Yokohama A032R - amazing tyres, either soft or super soft I think
Basically road legal slicks - ok in wet - don't last very long.

Colway do their Formula2s which are moulded slicks to tarmac rally stages. I know some kitcar guys that have run them on the road.
1/2 the price of A032's or ACB10's.

Pick up a copy of Motorsport News from the newsagents - new copy out today (every Wednesday).

Loads of classifieds in the back and the larger rallying used spares dealers should have various sets of used tarmac 'slicks' - and will be road legal. Most if not all will do mail order - I've used Yorkshire Rally Spares and Yukspeed previously for other stuff as well as Road and Stage in Stafford.

Not sure if there will be anyone in there selling them but Maxsport do a range of tarmac road legal tyres (and do 15") plus they offer really soft compounds (double or triple yellow are the softer compounds - the more yellow dots the softer it is). These are retreads rather than anything else and will set you back about 50 quid per tyre (new).
