Question

I own a MY99 wagon, as much as I love my car and would not be without it' the rattle comming from the back of the car is begining to get on my nerves, Ive adjusted the back door catch, Ive even gaffa tapped the panels to stop them moving but it still rattles, I know the hard suspension doesnt help but I just wondered if any other wagon owners have any advise.

Cheers

Simon.

Mine was always noisy but livable-with until I got bigger wheels and lower profile tyres, when it became horrendous, rattling all the time.

I took the metal bar loop part of the catch off and drilled out the holes so that it could be moved further down, thus holding the boot lid shut tighter. Hey presto, no more rattles! (At least, not from the back!)

If you've already done this,......then it'll be something else!

don't want to state the (bleedin) obvious but is your jack properly secured? Had a rattle in mine which was resolved by actually fastening it down properly- I also removed the load cover which was making noise.

In mine the hard to find rattle turned out to be the luggage blind. When it isn't extended over the cargo area the thing rattles, but only occassionally.
