RE010 are std fitment Bridgestones as far as I am aware & quite hard - u may want to pay extra for better tyres eg Gooodyear F1s or Toyos (S02s are great but no longer avail).

Goodyear F1's are rated very highly on ere as are Toyos.
You would probably find the above two types are cheaper as a tyre than standard RE010's anyhow.
However it's not a good idea to mix tyres though

Rob.

After S02's the RE010's will be abysmal Also, if you still have S02's on the front and put them on the rear, you'll have more front end grip and think you'll find the back becomes tail happy
Best replacement similar to S02's is either T1-S, Eagle F1's or S03's.

Bugger - I was under a bit of time pressure so gave go ahead so now have S02's up front and RE010's on the back. Will have to keep a close eye out for the back end fishtailing, not that I really ever drive the car particularly hard

RE010's are really uncorrectable and also suffer bad tramlining. Grip in the wet not up to much either. There are worse tyres - but they are poor value for money when there are cheaper ones mentioned above which are better

Question

Wasn't you advised to change all 4 been 4 wheel drive? You will have an even bigger bill when your front and rear wheels have finished fighting it out which can rotate quickest. Just trying to save you some future expence. Ady.

I hated the Re010s on my old MY00 - ride quality was poor, they tramlined badly and handled poorly in the wet

Changed to SO2's and thought I was driving a different car. I would try F1's or Toyos instead
