I've just changed my front tyres because the old ones had both started balding on the insides. I had the tracking done a while and it was spot on.

What could be other reasons for getting this sort of tread wear?

Any ideas?

Cool

I had same on my old wheels & tracking IIRC is not the whole package.
My advice, cant recommend anywhere local 2 u im afraid, is to go sumwhere that specialises in the full 4 wheel alignment & geometry setting. I went to TSL & was most impressed with end result

Wear on the insides usually means the camber's out.

I have also had the same problem with my front tyres, I have been told though by many people in the tyre trade that it can just be the make of tyres that cause this not the tracking depends on the compound and moulding of the tyre.

Pirreli's are meant to be one of the most common but others do it to, i was told michelins are the best tyres for even wear and longest life.

Just thought i would mention incase it is that.

good luck.

Ian

I guess you could use someone a bit closer. I'm sure there's a firm in Bishop Auckland who were highly recommended on here not so long ago. Can't remember their name though. Sorry. Anyone else?

Cheers

I've heared a couple of people metioned before over that way. One is John Pye, the other is Import Car Parts. I think it's probably John Pye, as he seems to be into rallying. I'll give him a ring.

I've never really thought the car handled that well, especially in the wet - it seemed to understeer quite badly. I wonder if it's had something wrong for the two years that I've owned it???

Oh, and the tyres I've just taken off were pirelli P Zeros.

"pirelli P Zeros"

Awful tyres in the wet (IMO).
