I have Superlegs (215/35/18) and find my tyres lose pressure really easily.
Anyhow, I put 32psi all round.
If anyone thinks any different???

I believe the recommended pressure for 225/40-18 is 32 F & B. Try this or alternative 32F & 30 R.

I have same tyre and wheel combination .32 front and rear seems to work. You need to check pressures every couple of weeks as for some reason they do lose it quickly.Any less than 30 can cause big wear problems and you can damage sidewalls which can be dangerous at high corner speeds.I omitted to check my previous fronts regularly and tyres were completely knackered after only a couple of thousand miles. An expensive mistake.

Wink

I'm running 34 front, 32 rear (as set by the lads at TSL) after I had my Eibachs and Geomatry done.
Cheers,
Mark.

Seems that the consensus is 34/32 and that's what i'm running at the moment. But Dog is right about how easy it is to wear 'em out. I had no idea when i bought my car and so went to my tyre guy and asked. Reply was "it depends on too many things, how hard you drive, etc". so we started somewhere with pressures, he inspected them and after 500 miles i went back and he checked again for any bad signs. Luckily everything was ok but i go back every few thousand miles and adjust accordingly. It's worth it at 18inch prices!

Would the same 34/32 apply to a set of 17"

It's not really a matter of wheel size. Tyre manufacturers have no pressures to give other than for the stock wheel/tyre combo. As you go lower in profile it just becomes a bit more of a balancing act to get all the tyre surface working at the same rate, and it usually means that you have to run a bit harder than stock pressures. Just have to suck it and see!
