Can anyone tell me the best wheel offsets for Scoobs?
I was under the impression that 48-52 was best for classics, is this right?
And do MY01 onwards differ?
Cheers

Disco spot on.
My prefered offset is ET48. Clearance is fine, but this gives a nice weight to the steering. The higher the offset number, the lighter the steering will feel.

Hope you dont mind me asking question - understand P1 offset is 53.Want to fit superleggarsas with offset of 51 - is this likely to cause a problem?
Many thanks for any help.
Cheers,
John.

Prodrive SuperTs (AKA Speedline Chronos) were ET55 IIRC.
I swapped these for OZ superTs (ET48) to get bigger brakes, and there was a bit of an improvement...
I don't see any obvious problems with going from 53 to 51.

53 seems like quite a tight offset, 51 is still fairly high and should retain most of the steering characteristics, but would still give better clearance of brakes etc.

my car is 35
not good for wheel bearings, and makes can have dodgy effects on turn in, but it looks the nuts, and gives me 10cm wider track at front and 14cm wider track at rear than any other classic impreza (not phatass).

Right , I am totally confused - showing my ignorance but what is the offset , how does it affect handling ,is the front and rear the same and finally can you get away with varying degrees of offset as seems to be the case?Hope I am about to learn something!!!

It's the difference between inside of wheel and hub I guess, as a lower figure means the wheel pokes out more Mine are et45 7.5" running 225 section rubber currently. It requires the rear arches to be rolled.
