P1 Wheel Tyre Size

Question

I've ordered a new set of 17" Anthracite P1 wheels for my MY98 Impreza to replace my current 17" wheels. The tyres I have at the moment are 215/45 17 but I've been told that these are not the correct size (were on car when I bought it).

I want to put Pirelli P-Zero's on my new wheels and I was wondering what is the correct size I should be getting so as to maintain the proper gearing, fitment etc.

the p1 came on 205/45/17 p zeros, or you can use 215/40/17 tyres in another make as the p zeros arnt very good in the wet

Exactly as mark says - the originals are 205/45/17 PZeros which I didn't like much at all. 215/40/17s are a bit more common (such as Toyo T1S) and the Toyos are fantastic comparatively speaking...

Replaced the OE P-Zeros for Toyos on my P1, much better.

Me mates P1 came with 225/35r17zr's on!
