Question

I am in contact with a chap over the web at the moment who has for sale a set of 205/40/ZR17 Toyo T1 Proxes...

Looked on Scoobyworld and they don't have that size?!

Is it a pucker tyre or has the guy got his figures mixed up?

Swift help/comments appreciated...

for 17 inch wheels on the scoob you'll be wanting 215/40/17's so I think hes made a typo.

you can still get this tyre size.... its just not remomended for the scoob.... but i cant imagine it causing major problems.... as my old 16" wheels where '205'/50/16..

For 17's you want either 215/40R17's or 205/45R17's.

You will mostly be able to get hold of 215/40R17.

Dan - my pirelli p-zero's are the same size and came supplied with the RB5 as standard spec. Only thing is, being 205, there is less space outside the rim and it's quite esay to chaff on kerbs etc.

Had another look on the Toyo website and they do still make this size so maybe this deal is as good as it looks! 4 brand spanking tyres for £200 ono!!!

Thanks for all your help SN'ers - I'll let you know how I go...

Rgds,

Shanno

Saw these advertised a while back but they are the wrong size for Scoobs. 205/45/17 or 215/40/17 is what you need if its a classic shape. I'm a big believer in buying tyres that are the right size I got my Toyos in 215/40/17 fitted for just over £300.
