Just bought MY94.The car has been lowered,could I fit 17's without any fouling of the wheelarches,or modifications being made??

Yes pretty much, unless it has been seriously slammed.
You'll need to get 215/40 17" or 205/45 17" tyres to keep the speedo reading the same.
