I have got a price for ebc TGD729 277mm disks for 49 quid plus vat each. Is this good i think the disks are a fair price but what are the competitiors prices. I'm going to be using pagid blue pads, has anyone run this combo? I think the track day disks should hold up to some abuse, is this the case?

out of intrest are the experiences based on the GD series disk, the fast road 3 spot disk or the new TGD series Track day Disk. I was told the gd disk for the scooby was discontinued due to what has been said above but the TGD items are actually made From Brembo competition castings, if you don't belive me have a look on a tgd disk. I hope they will do the job. I have used the same TGD disks on my 185bhp pug with good sucsess which is why i chose to run them...maybe not such a good move!

you wanna take those discs on track with pagid The pads will eat them alive and warp them They can't even stand up to their own brand pads

See here:

I am not alone on this board with bad experiences of EBC either....... all IMHO of course

Edited to say @ Scott

I've been out in Neils car when he had the discs, and it has to be said, they were crap! They had no stopping power whatsoever, and if you are going to take them on track they'll be shot very quickly, and your day will be over very soon.

Unhappy

The ones on my car were the new ones TGD

I suppose theres a chance I had a bad batch put on but hearing other stories of them I'm not so sure. They would be fine on a hot hatch most likely, but IMHO brakes on Scoobs take more punishment
