Just got my MY02 few weeks back, ex-demo with around 9000 on the clock. The front Bridgestones RE011's are only a few mm above the markers, rear ones are better.
Couple of questions:
1. Is it safe to swap front and back wheels to try and prolong the life of the tyres?
2. If not, when replacing tyres 2 at a time can I put a different brand on the front compared to the rear and still safely drive without loss in grip?
3. Does anyone have any recommendations for RE011 replacements, they seem to be the most expensive type for 215/45 17's...
Thanks in advance
Jim

I swap front-to-rear at service intervals to keep tyre wear even, and it's common practice, so no problems there.
Mixing new tyres with old or, worse still, different brands/models of tyres is something I would avoid at all costs on a Scoob. You're asking for unpredictable handling and increasing your chances of having an accident.
You might want to look at something like the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 as a replacement when it comes time to change your tyres. They are an excellent tyre. Toyo Proxes T1-S also get recommendations. Bridgestone S-03 have received some negative comments on smaller wheels but are well rated by some for 17" or larger wheels.

One other tip.
Get a tyre plase to wwap the front left tyre for right, and the same at the back (so the worn edge is on the inside)... then you can get another 10k out of them!!
