Has any one had these on their scooby. What are they like as they are cheap as hell. Any feedback welcomed.

what no one knows anything about these. They have been offered to me for £95 a corner. Which is pretty good but I need more info on them.

Your tyres offer a very small contact patch with the road at each corner. Therefore IMO a decent quality tyre is paramount to safety especially with a high performance car.

Whats the best option ? Buy cheap tyres, lose grip and write off your Scoob or pay for a well known brand and be safe

Weren't they referred to on here as 'Nankang ditchfinders'? (possibly by a certain Mr. Croney)

My car came with a set on. After a few bum-clenching moments in the dry, I swapped them for Goodyear F1's.

I still have the Nankangs, and as a testiment to their granite like wear rating, they have done three trackdays with no sign of wearing down. I'm going to have to change my driving style to be a bit more aggresive so I can get rid of them.

I have 4 nankangs on my MY99 this now - about to change to Toyo proxies though. They have lasted for ever - 30,000 on them and still look almost new. Which must say a lot for the grip (and not in a good way).

I've done the last 30k miles on a motorway though so they suited me fine - were £55 a corner fitted from a main subaru dealer 18 months ago.

Not a route I'd go down again though - now I know a bit more (and also found this BBS).

Richard.

cheers for that guys. Its taken the fellas down at the tyre shop nearly 2hrs to fit 4 tyres. They couldn't get the rubber to pop back and seal. So very little give in the tyre wall. Will let you know how I get on, So far not bad but am going to really rag them this weekend.
