Ok
car is a 1993 Jap import WRX
looking for new wheels so to 100% I have it correct here are the questions.
Wheels will be 17's or 18's.
What is the correct offset for my car?
How wide is wide without any arch mods ?
what wheels will clear 4 pot brakes ?
cheers

Correct offset depends on how wide the wheel is. I would stay +48mm - +55mm to try to avoid problems. 205/45/17 or 215/45/17 are probably safe for tyres, 215/35/18 should be OK. There are lots of wheels that will clear 4-pots, any of the Prodrive wheels will, Speedline, OZ, Technomagnesio, Volk, Advan, etc, etc, etc. Pick a wheel style you like and work from there. Good luck. FWIW, I have some 17x7.5 +48mm Rota wheels with 215/45/17 Sumitomo HTR Z 2s on my MY98 wagon with Eibach springs and I get no rubbing.
