This might go on forever but is there a 'best' wheel, when not considering price? Im not very good on this type of thing but is there an ultimate set of wheels?
Thanks in advance

There is a best wheel for each application.
For example, for the track, you need the lightest possible wheel in the best size. That may be Volk SE37s.
For the road, you need a light wheel that is also strong. A set of Volk TE37s might be the best option.
For rally, you need a strong wheel that wont break in potholes etc but shouldnt be too heavy either. Enkei Tarmac WRC might be best here.

Last time someone asked that question, someone else posted a link to a US site.
You can actually buy them from Fair Import in France who can get you anything from Japan at a reasonable price.
The TE37s are very expensive wheels. In 18 x 8.5, they cost £3000. But then again, they only weigh 6.9 kg each compared to over 10kg for a standard 17 inch wheel. Which is represents at least 12kg less unsprung weight. Standard colour is white or gold. I saw the golden ones in Japan, they are a little rough surface, I think white is better. You can have them sprayed at the factory in any colour of your choice for an additional £100.
Here's a pic BTW:
Not related to the company in any way, just inquired myself and got this info
