Had a puncture(unrepairable)on 4 month old tyre(6000miles)= gutted.
Some have said replace just the one (Subaru lancaster @ sevenoaks)
Some say two at a time ( per axle) - tyre fitter
Some said all four as all wheel drive - umknown expert

As long as it wasn't too badly warn you will be OK with just replacing the one tyre, as long as it is the same type as the duff one.
Had the same problem once, and this is the advice I received from Prodrive.

I had similar, the tyre had only done around 3k miles, just changed the damaged on, depends on the amount of wear on the good tyre, rolling radius not much different between new and old.
If in doubt change both, keep the good worn tyre as a 'spare'
I only ever changed my tyres in pairs as the fronts wore out quicker than the rears by about 3/4k miles.
shop around for prices mind.
