Just had some braided brake lines fitted as part of my 2 year 30k service as they were changing the fluid as part of the service.
The brakes were great before what with my Godspeed 330mm conversion and the brake support bracket(not sure this made much diff)and i thought the braided lines would finish off the job but...
The wife has just got back from picking the car up and the brakes are terrible, the pedal travel before the brakes bite is horrendous, the pedal offers no resistance until almost half the pedal travel.
Is this normal?????
or are the brakes full of air and the dealer has not bled them correctly???
Any advice would be a great help
Thanks in advance

when i first put my godspeed kit on with the four pots i had to bleed them three times. after the first time the pedal went straight to the floor. after the second it was better but not that good and the third time they seem to be ok. the only gripe i have is the calipers and pads seem a bit small so i might get different calipers.

That is the only problem with the subaru 4 pots , they only have one bleed nipple , usually 4 pots have a bleed nipple either side at the top so you can bleed both sides of the caliper , as there is only one bleed nipple the fluid will find its easiest route which is straight up to the nipple , its also got to go down through to the outside then up , so it does take a while to bleed , what I usually do is pump them about 15-20 times a caliper which should get rid of all the air in them ,

Car back from garage the mechanic found one of the back caliper was full of air 4 full pumps of the brake pedal to get brake fluid through to the caliper.
My guess is they forgot to bleed this caliper, this should have been picked up in the test drive after the service
im going to phone the dealer and kick off, especially when they gave the car back to my 7 months pregnant wife.
