WHEELS AND TYRES WHAT SIZE ?????

Hi all,
i am going to get some OZ Super Ts in 17 inch for my 1999 scoob, should i get 7.5x17 or 8x17??
Also which tyres are good and what size, there is about 4 different sizes in 17 inch??

225/45, or 225/40. I would prefer the 45's as the sidewall can be very small on 40's making the car feel horrible on our wonderful roads we pay so much for. Rim size 7.5" should be plenty.

I've just put some 17" OZ SL on UK MY99, with 215/40s and the new boots (TS-1) ride better and quieter than the OEM Bridgestone RE010s, which was a surprise to say the least. I was expecting a harsher noisier ride. Better feel near the limit, most corners I can take faster now, though I haven't tried them in the wet yet.
There's some deal for 17" OZ ST at the moment, 995 for set including tyres, in the Japanese Performance mag from UK OZ distributors, if I remember correctly.
