Yes you do, there are two 17mm bolts on the back of the caliper, take them off, and the caliper will come off, the discs should then fall off, refitting is the reverse of removal.

The bolts can be a major pain in the *** to remove - depending on how long since the last disc change etc.. . and much easier if you have access to a hydraulic ramp.

are you meaning the whole of the caliper or just the outer half of the caliper.
when i first did this i **** myself when brake fluid started spouting everywhere. then realised it had to get to the outer part of the caliper to push the other two pots in. Doh!
