Handbrake shoes
Hi. Any idea how to remove the rear disc off the handbrake brake shoes? A spring has failed and the arrow head shaped pin has fallen out with corrosion. Now the right hand pads will not release from the hub. How the hell do I get this disc off now? Winding bolts in the threaded holes doesn’t work either. Any one help. Thanks

Have you tried winding off the adjuster to relieve some of the main spring tension??

Watch you don’t destroy the ABS ring. It’s a bitch of a job as I just found out.
Hammering the disc off will pull the shoes forward into the ring which is brittle and breaks. It’s a hub and bearing job if you need to replace it.
