Default Help - Rear brake disc removel!!

Neve done brakes myself before, so I'm after some info on how to remove the rear brake discs on my 2001 WRX bugeye, pads and calipers all cleaned replaced and ready for ne discs, just how do you get them off?

Tried the old hammer but I didnt want to force them to hard and break them and then be stuck!

Thanks for any info.

You need 2 off M8 bolts to go in the threaded holes next to the wheel studs. Wind these in gently and evenly to push disc off hub. You may also need to slacken handbrake shoes knurled adjuster with screwdriver through hole in backing plate.

Magic! thanks, Do the M8 bolts press of the disc? I did wonder why there was 2 holes in the disc!

Anyone any pics of where to adjust the HB shoes?

Thanks

yes but dont force it , if the handbrake is binding still , it will rip and brake the fixings off that hold the shoes in place
