Default Tyre recommendations for 425bhp Impreza

Hi there, am after a full set of new tyres 235 40 18 for my Impreza hawkeye. Car is used for fast road use in the summer/dry months.

What tyres would you guys recommend? Have used Toyo proxies TR1 and Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta in the past.

Cheers

Lewis

Cost no object and wet performance not a requirement - Michelin Cup 2.
Better in the wet and slightly cheaper - Michelin PS4S.
Almost as good and a lot cheaper - Goodyear Supersport.

Any of the above will be orders of magnitude superior to the TR-1 and Ultrac Sessanta.

I’m running goodyear super sports on my hawkeye at that size. I thought if they’re are good enough for the Porsche gt2/gt3 rs. They are good enough for me.

Thanks for the replies gents, I ended up going with the Michelin PS4S from Camskill, they had an offer on where you get £75 cashback if you buy 4 Michelin PS4S tyres, so it worked out they would have been a fiver more expensive than a set of 4 Goodyear Supersports.

Very happy chappy!

Great choice especially with the discount applied. If you are a Costco member Michelin and Goodyear run frequent promotions with them as well.

I guarantee you will be impressed with the PS4S.

Awesome stuff, they should be a significant upgrade to the toyos on there now. Getting them fitted on Friday along with a fresh MOT

Michelin PS4 and PS4S are a different tyre, you can't get the PS4S in my size (235/45R17). I'm using PS4 on mine for road use, superb tyre, especially in the wet.
