Default Brake pad misalignment with rotor

I recently fitted rear STI 4-pot calipers on my 2007 STI. It needed some modifications and custom brackets to fit, as these were designed for the hubs on the GR models and not the GD. I noticed that the brake pads do not sit 100% aligned with the rotor (comparing the curvature on the pad vs the rotor), and this is more pronounced on the left side. Is this a cause for worry?

Coincidentally (or otherwise), I am also hearing some occasional groaning noises that are coming from the rear brakes when the car is moving, and not sure if it could be related. Only seems to happen after the brakes are warm. Rotors and pads are new, pads are Pagid Yellow RSL 19.

I wouldn't be happy with that and would probably be working on the custom bracket or getting the person who made it to rework it

Shim the calipers away from the hubs with some washers.
