Which Tyres?
#1
I need new tyres soon and would like a bit of advice on what to go for?
All tyres are Bridgestone Potenzas but two at the front are the normal tread pattern and the two at the rear are the V pattern Pole Position ones. Its these two that are worn most cause they have already been on the front.
Is there much difference between these two types of Bridgestone potenza's.
Does it matter if I change the rear tryes for a different manufacturer and which is best to go for.
I dont want the most expensive tyre, but do want reasonably good ones!
Should I stick to Bridgestone as these are factory fitted?
Thanks
Derek

Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D2 (latest type) are supposed to be one of the best alternatives..
I'm having four fitted tomorrow / thursday, so I'll let you know when I've tried them.
The price is pretty ok too... £83 inc vat + fitting for 205/55R16.
Cheers,
Alex

BTW, id buy 4 new tyres rather than mixing and matching, the PP's are much better IMHO than the std, they do wear differently due to it being a sort of mixed compound, and you wont be able to get hold of any SO2's as they dont make em anymore
