Anyone got Avon tyres and what do you think of them.

If you are thinking of ZZ1's don't bother they are crap , very hard compound that generate no grip

 

yeh the zz1's are fine in the dry unless you're pushing really hard, in the wet they're lethal on a scoob.

 

The ZZ1 has now ben replaced with the ZZ3, much improved with a 'V' style tread pattern.

 

hmmmm, I'd avoid. ZZ1's were absolute rubbish IM(and many others)HO. Not much been said about the ZZ3's but going on the past I'd leave alone and spend a little extra per corner on Goodyear F1's, Toyo T1-S or S03.

Don't forget on these car tyres are the biggest mod you can do to improve the handling/roadholding of the car and it just isn't worth scrimping on.......

 

I can echo the "ZZ1's are crap in the wet" comments. Also squeal like b@stards on roundabouts...
