Question

HI!! I'm Federico from italy, i would like to say hello to everyone in this forum and firstly apologise to you for my bad English... I bought 2 months ago an STI 7 and i'm enthusiastic of it! i changed the 7.5*17 wheels with 8*18 speedline with 225/40/18 yoko AVS sport and i would know which are,in your opinion, best combinations Wheels-tyres for STI7. Thanx a lot!! FEDE

Tyres Toyo Proxy T1S or Bridgestone Potenza SO3.
Wheels, anything that's your taste and will fit over the brembo calipers.

Integra, also consider Goodyear F1 I feel they give better wet weather grip over the Toyos(I have Toyos on my ST i7 at present and am a little disappointed)

I have so3 and they are better than the toyos I had also don't go for 225 35 18 they are too hard to live with day to day and don't offer any inprovement what so ever.

Took delivery of a Sti V7 about a month ago and had an upgrade to 19" o.z. Super Leggera's fitted with 225/35 F 1's. In comparison to past Scoobs ( MY 98 with 205/45 P.ZERO'S and MY 00 215/40 SO2's)both UK Turbo's with 17" rims the ride is far from harsh. If anything I would say that the Sti seems to have a slightly more yielding ride given by having good damping rates as apposed to re lying on rock hard springs for control.
To be honest the whole subject is pretty subjective. If you have just jumped out of a Range Rover then the ride is bound to feel hard in any Impreza. As for weight I have been informed by reliable sources that the 19" Super Leg's are lighter than the standard 17" wheels.

For all you lucky STI owners faced with the dilemma of upgrading your rims, what are you doing with your stock STI rims? Could you hook up a poor deprived WRX owner from the US?
