Default Disc and pad recommendations?????

For a turbo 2000 my97, standard 2pot fronts and single pot rears ? Was looking at the scoobyworx 8 grooved discs and black diamond predator pads. Anyone used these ? Ony for road use, and maybe one or two trackdays. Cheers.

They are a great setup for fast road

Check the review from Brian who used our discs in the Mull Rally. Gave them some real hammer without issue

He was using CL RC5+ Pads as well which are a track pad

Cheers Darrell, I've heard that some grooved discs can warp and some r not as strong as others. Also what are the black diamond predator pads like from cold in real world driving , and whats the amount of dust like off em ? I emailed you the other day about the 4 pots but i think i will have to stick with my 2 pots for now to keep the cost down. Do you fancy doing me a nice deal on a full set front and rear ? Thanks.

The black diamond pads are low dust and decent from cold. They won't perform like some of the better pads which cost around double though. That said they are our most popular choice for fast road and we sell loads of them.

Our discs are not cheap discs machined and sold as performance discs. They are built as performance discs from the outset and don't warp under heavy use. Brian who did the Mull Rally did a lot of miles heavy braking without issue even he was surprised they stood up to what he threw at them :-)

SN10 will give you 10% off :-)

As above you would be better off fitting 4 pots if you have wheels that will fit them , as they work much better than the 2 pots under hard use.
You can pick 4 pots up fairly cheaply , just beware what you're buying as they are prone to seizing due to there age now , pistons go rusty , easy fix though.

Or a popular seller is this kit with copy brand new calipers , this will bolt straight onto your car and be a big improvement on what you currently have

If you don't want to , or the wheels won't fit the 4 pots , we can offer you various packages with front and rear grooved discs and pads starting at £195

Cheers Ian

Mate iv wanted to upgrade to 4 pots for years. Im not goin mad on trackdays, im just saying maybe the odd one or two a year. Iv done a few sprints and a trackday with it fully standard and i thought they weren't too bad really. Might of been because i haven't done that much track driving and was being easy on the car.

Hiya Ian, whats the pad options with that 4 pot kit ? Also are the 4 pots really that much difference between my 2 pots? And what's the different prices for my standard set up ( full set of grooved discs with a few different pads ) please ?
