Default Visual tyre pressure check marker!!!!

Not sure if anyone knows this but I've just found out that there's a triangle mark on the side of tyres that shows you if your running the correct pressure.

As a guide the pressure is optimal when the wear footprint just enters the triangle like the photo below.

Ive been running my yoko Ado8r tyres at 33 front 29 rear. After checking my indicators in the picture below they appear to be over inflated giving me less grip...

I'm going to take a few psi out all round and see if it improves things.

I thought those marks just show you were in the grooves the tread wear indicators are?

Good bit of information thanks , I've been wondering about my tyre pressures and how accurate the digital pumps are at the garages , I've got hankook evo k110 set at 38 front and 36 rear tyres still feel soft to me . I'm off out to check my triangle

Only problem I see is if you have had them to low to begin with it would be hard to see where the new wear is on the tyre shoulder.

This is true , since I've had these tyres I've been running that sort of pressure but they feel a little soft , before I had toyo t1r which are known for the soft sidewall , I ran them at the same psi and they gave me more confidence , I bought the hankooks as I was recommended by other Subaru drivers , might go back to the toyos or try something else

I took 2psi out of mine last night. The tyres felt softer and I still didn't get the wear on the markers. Maybe I'm not getting the corning forces required on the road. This maybe more for track pressures.
