Hi.
Can anyone reccomend a good set of budget tyres for my 93WRX, it has MY01 17" alloys on it. only 2 of them are in need of changing realy, but I think I should do all 4 at once, worried about wrecking the drive train. Is this sensible, or OTT.
Thanks in advance, Rob.

If there's one thing you don't want its low quality tyres...
On a car that can do over 120mph you'll want rated tyres, and I've never seen rated tyres on a Metro

The worry about changing 2 tyres wrecking drive train it OTT. More likely to wreck the whole car in a ditch if you have 2 decent tyres and 2 cheapo tyres. To avoid this cooncern in the future you can swap front and back over just before you think they are about half worn. My opinion only of course.

Thanks for the advice.
Ive been offered some goodyear eagle F1s at trade price from a mate, I imagine these are top quality, what do you think of them, good?
Thanks, Rob.

F1s are pretty good (GS-D2s, I'm talking about, with the V-shaped tread). I've got them on mine; much better in the wet than RE010s.
FYI, I got 205/50 16s for less than £70 each (though that was six months ago), so use that for a price comparison.
