Well..xp8 are awesome but very dusty and can squel quite badly so I bought Performance Fiction .11 z rated, haven't got the bite of xp8 but are still a great fast road pad. There are other opinions but their the 2 I would/did choose.

Performance Friction by a long way - brilliant all round: low dust, work well from cold, good modulation, and just keep on working whatever you do with them

Glad this has been asked, I was looking at getting the Blue EBC pads untill I saw some reviews and it put me off. The Performance Friction Z-Rated seem well priced and good
reviews as well.

They are very quiet for a performance pad and not dusty at all especially when compared to other performance pads.SJ.

They produce much less dust, are quieter and cheaper and also work better from cold

I've just replaced DS2500s with PF-Zs and for me the PFs are superior pads all round.

Surprisingly enough the Pagid-branded pads from Euro Car Parts do a very good job. I replaced my Orangestuff pads with these and the bite and confidence they give is far superior. And for £25 for a set for four-pots they're a steal. I wouldn't expect them to stand up to track abuse but for fast-road they are perfectly adequate. The only downside is that they are very dusty.

Took my sisters fella out for a spirited drive last night.

I have cheap pagid pads, godspeed discs and braided hoses and coped very well. Not sure how long they would last on track though.

I've just put in a set of Carbone Lorraine RC5+ and by god they are impressive.

For £130 for a set of fronts for four-pots the price is not too silly for the performance they give. A big step up from the OEM Pagids and night and day compared to the Orangestuff (which I didn't get along with at all).

I have CL RC 5 pads with PF disks on a newage and they're spot on. Very good, progressive and impressive braking.

Not sure what I have in atm, they were on the car when I bought, but they are pants! Need to upgrade to braided lines and do a fluid change, got some mtec groved and drilled to put on so will try the pagid when I fit the discs.

Braided lines and a fluid change will definitely help in conjunction with the new pads,Pagid pads come in at a very reasonable price and dependant on what compound you get are good for fast road or track, but the pagids that have been recommended on this thread would be fast road only but are still a good buy and can deal with most styles of fast road driving.SJ.

Cool, just looking on eurocar parts and for under £30 that's gotta be a bargain!
I'm not hard on brakes really,I like the gears to do a lot of the de-ccelatation. I won't be tracking it any time soon but one day I'm sure I will, and am going to have to upgrade the 2 pots at some point I suspect

Sounds Like a plan,a Caliper upgrade would make a hell of alot of difference especially if you can source a set of Gold brembo calipers or similar, one for the future eh.SJ.

That's going to be a long way off,I have 16 inch wheels on and 4 pots won't fit,I think there must be some smaller 4 pots that might but not done any research. I think I would like to stay with 16's tho for the drivability
