On the hunt for a P1 or type r
Hi guys,
Anyone know of or selling a P1? Needs to be very good condition bodywork wise and either low miles or with engine rebuild (by decent garage).
Had cash ready for a highly modded type r but it fell through as it was a shed (not literally
). May also consider a highly modded type r but would have to be immaculate.
I know its ambitious but I dont want/cant spend more than £7k. Got a few i'm interested in but they all seem to be hundreds of miles away. Happy to travel up to a couple of hours from Warwickshire for the right spec.
Can you help?

Possibly but its a buyers market. Theres a p1 with 2.5 conversion (by subaru4you) on autotrader for £8k, said he would take £7k cash. Trouble is it was on 119k and thats just too many miles for me even with the engine.
Then there are a lot of 70-80k examples on original engines for about the same money.
Found one down South with recent engine rebuild and low miles but im not sure he'll budge on £7.5k
Need to sell mine first then i might be able to stretch a tad higher (just dont tell the missus!)

It's a Vers 6 RA 2 door Limited edition 197 of 1000 [ blue of course ] with a 22b lookalike front bumper. Low miles engine was rattly and we have had it to bits and rebuilt it. 17" OZ Ultraleggera's going on in a few daze, as they were surplus in stock and just needed a few rim scuffs dealing with. An honest motor car.
Looking to get close to £7000 as possible with APi driveline warranty, taxed and tested. V reg January 2000 car

All sorted now thanks, I have myself a STI Type R WRC Edition. ;-)
Cheers David, cars going to get some TLC over the winter and hopefully be ready to roll next year if all things go to plan.
If anybody is interested the red one is for sale imminently, if i cant sell as a whole i'll have to break it and take all the good bits for the type r.
