Reaction times were good less than the 1sec mark! Losing time in the 1st to 2nd change my perrin short shift is a real bitch at times! Got a 20g hybrid to try out with some methonal!if it gets near the 400 mark i'll be happy for now
The Audi-rs is nippy little thing was mapped to 360bhp but weighs only 1350kg thats 16 stone less than a new age scooby!

nice choice of turbo.. ive got a VF48 ready to go on alongside some 650cc injectors, i'll be happy with 380 from them
as for reaction times, in that case yours are better than mine, lol mine end up being 1.4secs
as for that rs , ive seen it perform a few times, it is nippy! owner is only 23 too , lucky sod lol
as for the weight of a newage, what is the coirrect weight for the bugeye sti's / blob stis? with full trim and no passengers?

Your looking at a kerb weight of around 1470-80kg and even higher gross weight! I think I'm gonna get on the Subaru weight loss program but don't wanna get it to stripped as it's used as a Daily driver for now! Plus I'm building a rx7 v8 (pictured in my garage)at the moment so I can't hammer loads of cash into the scoob;(
what can the bugeye sti block take! I've read you need to be careful with the early newage lumps above that mark! There not as tough as the later block/pistons!
If I had 45k plus sat around for a motor the tt-rs would be the last thing on my list!!

heres the video my mate got of your car, not very good, but sures your quick start
http://s256.photobucket.com/albums/h...1052010117.flv
as for the weight bloody hell they are heavy! i thought they were jsut 1450kg
stripping the car spoils the car for daily driver use
as for the rx8 looks mint! and a better place to spend your money , leave the scoob for fast road, no point chucking money at 2 cars.
lol and yeah the tt-rs wouldnt be my choice either but each to their own i guess
as for the bugeye sti block, dont scare me lol , i thought they were good for 450? hence me limiting my mods to 400bhp max and then doing suspension. thought that would be comfortable. is that not the case? i thought all newage blocks were the same?

I think they Made changes in the engines on later blobs! But I'm sure there good for 450 with all the right supporting mods on all sti newages! Best to make sure though if your gonna go into the 400's!
I think I could cope without rear seats/belts and replace them with the carbon style parcel/firewall they use in rally cars and maybe some nice light buckets! In the front! That's it! And all the boot cleared of trim and the works!
