ARE NEW SHAPE IMPREZAS EXEMPT FROM THE SCOOBY WAVE?
driving around chesterfield and sheffield waved to numerous new shape(meaning the new hatchback type) and no wave off any of them had waves off all the others classics, blob eye, bug eye, hawkeye but for some reason hatch drivers arent carrying on the scooby wave perhaps it will go down with subaru making an impreza look like that.

Hawk Eyes wave. Well at least I do..
Had the unfortunate event of test driving the new STI yesterday.
I do hope they sort it out as its not a scooby to me. Just doesn't sound right let alone the looks. Hopefully a Colin Mcrae version before my 3 years is up next year!

My theory is the Subaru was designed by a Mitsubishi Owner. No way Im getting the hatch unless it changes dramatically. WIll either wait a few years then import a GTR or get a Mitsu I'm afraid .... Or just continue upgrading my scooby...

I wave, nod, flash whatever suits the mood (in a hawkeye)
I think the "issue" is, its not actually in the handbook, or mentioned during servicing, so some people really dont have a clue what "the wave" is about
Of course there are some people who think they are better than others, and in that case............... knobber lol

just bought my first my97 and got 3 waves in 3 days when i was a pajero club member not one in 4 years lol.even when i picked it up i had a blob eye come up behind me at 70 goes round me waving and then just gentley pulls away.when i had rs all you got was **** wanting to race all the time yet in the pretz it does not happen people seem more polite.as someone else said it is a nice feeling and even better knowing that i can go out and not have dicks sticking to my bumper as soon as i get out the street.

Makes me laugh when people in newer or better model Imrezas give you the overly smug I'm better than you look.
Had exactly the same thing with a WR1 driver the other day. I waved he shook his head laughed and dropped it down a gear. I kept with him for a little while and then just waved and cleared off.
500bhp on tap in a 10 year old car LOLOLOLOL.
Yes I know it was a bit chavish but had he not laughed I probably wouldn't have bothered.
It was satisfying though. Especially when we slowed down and he couldn't bring himself to look at me.
