Mad mile.. I know there's a few of these named roads around... but definately Mad...

Especially as it has mobile scameras (both ways) on a perfectly good bit of dual carriageway.. with no junctions whatsoever.. no accidents... whatsoever... marked at 40

to55ers..

as you say perfect road, downhill with a long sweeping left hander if heading towards wakefield from owl lane donut. nearly got caught on there myself but a chap in a range rover coming the other way flashed & waved to let me know plod was hiding half way down the hill.

Apologies... It's a 50, but still a poor show for such an open and highly visible straight.

MSM - Next time you're on it, check out the two newly laid Tarmac areas. One near the top of the rise heading up to the Owl Lane roundabout.. and the other on the Wakey side just before you get to the sweeper.. That's the new dry areas for the scameras... they still may park on the grass past the sweeper at the junction... but they now have 3 areas in which to get you...

Next one is to put a small add in the paper 3 months ahead.. in very small print... saying the speed limits coming down to 40.. like a lot of roads have... then stick a camera on there for a few days...

Safety cameras??? Total Bollocks.
