Pretty sure it is/was a locally owned car - a silver blob eye on a Y plate I think. But bit hard to ID when the car's inverted and in a field at the bottom of a 3-4 metre slope!

If you know the road, hopefully the following will help you picture the location. Head out of Mistley towards Bradfield/Harwich on the "main" road.

After leaving Mistley there's a straightish bit of road followed by a sharp right hand bend (you can see straight down the Stour to Felixstowe), where the road drops down a hill to a sharp left hand bend. Immediately out of the bend the road momentarily straightens, before gently curving round to the right - at this point there are two or three oak trees on the left, below which there's a bank that drops down into the field below.

The Scoob just missed the last oak tree, took out a few saplings and ended up on its roof at the bottom of the bank. I'd guess that he/she overdid it coming round the left hander at the bottom of the hill, over-corrected it and slid along the left hand grass verge, and down the bank.

It's a cracking bit of road - always brings a smile to my face when I drive it (most days on way to work). But it does catch people out from time to time. First time I've ever seen a car pranged at the Mistley end though - most happen on the bridge as you begin climbing out of the "valley" at the Bradfield end.

Yep, that is a cracking bit of road!
I live near Gatwick now but my parents live in Lawford and i have loads of mates in Colchester, so whenever i go back to see them i always try and find an excuse to drive that stretch of road!! Once in Bradfield i then hook a left opposite that pub ( cant remember name! ) and carry on all the way to Harwich as that aint a bad bit of road either!

The pub is the Stranger's Home. As you say, the stretch between Bradfield and Harwich is equally entertaining. I've had some quite interesting "encounters" with the guys from Abbot Racing (Saab tuners/racers) who are located along there.

It's also become a firm favourite with many of the hundreds of bikers from the Wednesday evening bike meets at Gt Bentley. Always quite entertaining to watch and hear.

Have spoken to a couple of mates in Colchester and they havnt heard of any accident involving a scoob, so can only presume that they were not on the "scene".

What car you got mate, as will look out for you when i am back that way!
Mine is a P1, with a few stickers on now!
