Thumbs down What is it with boy racers...

I was at the lights in Lincoln today and this lad in his kev'd up clio sat next to me revvin away like he was on the grid and brands hatch, obviously wanting a race. Pretty pointless exercise against a WRX, so I just laughed in his face.

This made him mad though and when the lights went amber, he shot off tyres smoking and all and just missed a woman and two small kids who crossed the crossing later than they should of but still......

When are these wa**ers gonna learn?? Do they have to knock someone over and kill them before they realise?

Tossers!!

Mark.

Congratulations mate, you did the right thing, just ignore them and let them think that their tin box is- in point of fact- the fastest thing on the road.

With any luck they'll loose their licences long before they can afford a properly fast car like a Scooby or Evo!!

Yes I had someone in a citroen chavaxo, sitting on the back bumper last Friday night. Nearly took the side off Legacy as desperately tried to take the inside lane on a mini roundabout to turn right (not that there was an inside lane to take in the first place)

It's not the cars that are at fault or in question here, nor are their relative merits being compared; it's the attitude of the drivers! At the best of times the road is not the place for postuing. When there is snow and ice about, such behaviour on the road is idiotic pure and simple.

Ahh bless them!

9 times out of 10, they're trying to tempt you to put your foot down, so they can see what a real car can do.

Kinda like your vectra drivers that drive up your jacksey!!

It wouldn't be so bad if they were'nt so dangerous with what they do, cause lets face it, if you had to slam the anchors on for some reason, there little drum brakes wont stop them as fast as a scoob's brakes!

Thats when youv'e got to pay the body shop a visit for that all important rear bumper!

get the same all the time, nova/corsa/saxo complete with screen washer jet leds, old oil drum for a back box and driving so close i can,t see their front end. most annoying. i think sticking to thr speed limit really winds them up.

Had three incidents of semi-average-sporty Vectras driving dangerously in relation to trying to goad me in the last week. I was tempted to call the Police after the second lad's behaviour and give them a 'heads up' warning on the psycho.

Interesting thread everyone, personally i find the best thing to do is:

1.Smile or Laugh
2.Ignore them
3.Get your kids to laugh at them lol
4.Get your wife to laugh at them
5.Blow them a kiss

any of the above will wind them up a treat i find the best one is to get my kids to laugh at them and then just let them go lol

Yep, thats always my treatment aswell, look there car over as though admiring the 2 stripes running front to back over their 'd' reg polo estate with the steel wheels they've sprayed with alloy wheel paint then at the last moment look them straight in the eye and just p!ss yourself laughing, drives them mad.

just missed a woman and two small kids who crossed the crossing later than they should of but still......

so its his fault this woman don't know how to cross the road is it

it's about time parents realised that the world don't stop for them and if they walk into the road when they shouldn't, it's they're fault if they get run over

You really are a moron, aren't you, Dave? If someone walks into the road, hassled by their kids, distracted by their ****ty lives and a million-and-one other problems, they die. You get a dented bumper. The world does not exist for you to get from A to B in the fastest time possible in your "fast car". Learn some humility and some care for your fellow human beings.

He does have a point though, they were in the road when they shouldn't have been. Doesn't give anyone carte blanche (sp?) to mow them down though.

A bloke at work was quoting some figures about X number of pedestrians killed by speeding motorists last year, so i asked how many of the speeding motorists were on the pavement when they killed the pedestrians.

It does work both ways.

Agree that laughing at chavs is a good one, if its warm and you have the window down then i find pointing and laughing is especially effective.

If it was a clear open road i.e. not the middle of lincoln at school hours then maybe i would have booted it, but bearing in mind that i was fully aware of the woman and two small kids NOT surrounded by a ton of metal - then in answer to your question - my foot would have stayed off the pedal regardless. Dont want anyones death on my hands!

NO HE DOESNT HAVE A POINT AT ALL!!! You are allowed to cross the road on a flashing pedestrian light (although not recommended), and the law states that once a pedestrian has started to cross the crossing, they have right of way. Its as simple as that. This bum nugget in the clio didnt even care! he just floored it so he could brag to his mates. Worth killing 3 people over? Think not.

I dont reckon you fully thought about what you said before you posted in here. Always put your brain in gear before your scooby.

Blimey, I can't believe a thread over a **** driver can last for two pages onwards.... just face it, the world is full of crap drivers, very dangerous drivers and no ammount of moaning and bitching about them is going to make them drive any better, so long as you are driving safely and you don't knock anyone over you should be happy!!!

Let's face it, we all drive Nice cars (well most of us) be it an Evo, a scoob, a supra or a skyline, that are just begging to be raced against and draw lots of attention, I don't know why all this stupid behaviour that happens around us suprises some people.

FACT : you chose to drive a nice car that is going to attract loads of attention

FACT : There are loads of **** drivers on the roads that are going to kill either themselves or someone else!

FACT : NO AMMOUNT OF MOANING IS GOING TO SORT THEM OUT !!!!!!

Get over it or buy a ****ta of a motor

Sorry Rant over
