Followed you in my silver WRX into the rain, and then the blizzard which we encountered at Fourwentways
Didn't see which way you went from there due to the complete white-out!

It took 51/2 hours for us to get back to Derby!

I originate from Haverhill - still got lots of family there so that's my reason for knowing the old A604 as was.
Sorry to hear about your long trip home - weather eh !!
Hope you recover fully soon from your op

It is a small world !!
I lived on the Parkway by the old Standard pub (now demolished) - of course I know Kedington quite well !! Used to bike all round there !!
I have to say tho - I wouldn't want to live back in Haverhill - love it round here too much and this has been 'home' for 14 years now.
Who'd have thought it eh - thought I was the only one that had escaped !! lol

Dave... Do some work... what do you think I send you out at stupid o'clock in the morning for? To play on Scoobynet, or to earn me money to buy shoes!

Hey Rachael - bit of a coincidence for you. Was going through an old scrap book tonight and found a ticket I had stuck in there for an ATC reunion dance - guess where it was held?
The Kedington Community Centre !! Is that still there? That was back in the 70's (he says giving away his age !!) lol

Of course the community centre is still there!!! I was there watching the pantomime just last week!
Have you put your name down for DaveD and my leaving bash in the Midland thread? (don't know how to do links!) We're moving out of Derby! Might have to get photos out of the old place... (Haverhill) Parkway middle school, Castle Manor, The Bell, Rose & Crown, Hamlet Croft.... ahhhhh!

I'm just down the road too - Steeple Bumpstead
Lucky you weren't later - it took me 2 hours to get to Linton from Bumpstead (8 miles!) at 1930, and when I left Linton going back towards Haverhill at 0215 Thursday, and up the hill past the staggered crossroads on the A604 (sorry, it's still that to me too ) at the Bartlow/Linton turnoff was mayhem - I was the only car that got up it, stuff littered everywhere with wheels spinning, and it was shut completely shortly after First turnoff into Bumpstead was blocked due to abandoned cars, managed to get home via Sturmer an hour later!!!!!
