17.10 Silver MY02 with Morettes and a big wing going towards Bracknell on the A329M. I was going the other way and waved but closing speed was probably 200 mph so I don't suppose you had much time to respond. Was it yours i saw in the George at Loddon Bridge the other weekend?
17.20 on Lower Earley Way - nice blue STi (I think) with Gold wheels - thanks for the flash and the wave m8!!

It wasn't me, it was my brother. I spoke to him this morning, he flashed you down Lower Earley Way.
It's not an STi, it's a reddish blue MY98 with Scoobysport backbox and Oz Prodrive wheels.
Why doesn't anyone spot me in my dark green MY99?

Stu,
I'm sure I've seen a DGM about (and waved) there's also a DGM wagon about - it followed me down by Sindlesham Mill a few weeks back, and there's an older DGM with Gold wheels that lives near Maiden Erleigh school.
Thanks for passing on the wave from your bro' - I always wondered what colour 'Reddish Blue' was now I know....you have to forgive me not knowing the models....I'm very old and a bit new to the Scooby scene so all the older models look alike to me
If I see you around I'll definitely wave!!

I'll be lookin' out for that wave I think it might have been me following you near Sindlesham Mill a few weeks ago.
I've seen so many Impreza's around the Reading area just lately, but many don't seem to want to wave (or even acknowledge another Scooby).
I wonder what the average Scooby wave/ignore ratio is.......

I almost bought an RB5 Prodrive. I think they look absolutely superb, but the dealer wanted stupid money for it, so I settled for a standard Impreza.
I'll be lookin' out for all those waves.........

Timbo33,
No I'm afraid it's got nothing to do with financial stuff. My previous car was a Golf GTi G60 (I still own it). G60 is the name VW gave to the supercharger that they developed many years ago. When I joined ScoobyNet I was still driving around in my G60, hence the name.

Where am I and what do I drive.....hmmmmmm......
Usually nipping around the Woodley/Reading area and cruising down the M4 to Newbury everyday.
I am mainly driving my green MY99 turbo. I still take my G60 out for a good burn-up from time to time. The sound of that supecharger is great and it get's heads turning (sounds like big hoover!!!......a well tuned, very powerful Hoover!!!). No honest, it sounds great!! Not as powerful as a Scooby but just as much fun......

The only place I can think of is The George by Showcase cinemas.
It meets the good food critera and the car park is reasonably sized (but it's always busy).
Not sure about point 3....I suppose we could all drive from the Park and Ride to The George, but probably wouldn't get out of 1st/2nd gear!!

Timbo can't help it. Its the only legal place I know where I can go head to head with someone and race them. Unless of course, you know of a private road that you can use. Oh well, back to the bleeding cam belt I go...

Plantie,
Sounds good.....I took the wife to the Surrey meet at the weekend and it was obviously a bad idea - she was bored $hitle$$
So I'm probably in good shape to go on my own in future
Let me know when you're meeting - I might even drag Tiggs along!!

Slow Boy,
I did make it to GTI Int this year. It was a bit of a shambles. I saw few Scooby's up there. It was good to see the Dubsport twin engine VR6 go down the sprint, and a handful or really nice cars, but that was about it......
You got a VW or a Subaru???

g60stu,
Yeah that twin engine is something else.
I gotta Scoob, recently acquired. Lovin' it. My mates got a G60 though, so I tag along to the shows from time to time. To be honest, he's probably to blame for me getting the scoob. Fed up of just looking at all those fast cars. Does G60 LO mean anything to ya?
SlowBoy.

G60 LO, rings a few bells, but not much more than that.
What do you think of the G60 in terms of performance? Especially as you drive a Scooby. I recently took a potential buyer out in my one and he wasn't that impressed by it (I should have driven it "properly" and scared the crap out of him - next time I will).
Anyhow, when is the next Newbury meet? I work in Newbury so I fancy coming along to the next one. Is it on a regular basis?

Katana you are obsessed with Santa pod mate
'part from the fact it's flippin' miles away from reading!!! I've heard of pre-meet runs but one that lasts two hours is going a bit far!!!
There probably ought to be a Reading Scooby meet tho'....
wanna organise it? - how 'bout Madejski Stadium? Two basic rules of meets:
1. Need a big Car park so's everyone can gawp at all the cars lined up and talk accessories...
2. You then need a Pub somewhere nice with a similarly sized car park that serves good food.
3. The third of the two basic rules is that the route between 1. and 2. should have nice quiet derestricted roads so the convoy of growling Scoobs doesn't pi$$ the neighbours off!!
