Coolant temperature sensor for a classic Impreza, phase 2.
I'm looking for a coolant temperature sensor for a classic Impreza (Turbo 2000 UK), phase 2 EJ20 engine, the sensor located just behind the alternator.
Have you got one available, and can you get it sent out to me next day delivery?
What would be the cost?
Thanks

I think i need one too MY00 Turbo 2000. My cars temp needle just stays at cold constantly. The coolant is fairly new and the heaters all work fine so im assuming its the sensor on its way out.
Id just go to subaru for one mate, they arent that expensive

The issue with mine is the fan is just not turning on, and due to this when sitting and idling it's getting to hot.
I can only assume it's the sensor as the rad fan is not coming on, yet when i test the systems or disconnect the sensor the fan comes on. So i would imagine the sensor is not functioning correctly and as a result the fan doesn't come on?
It's frustrating because one faulty senor appears to be able to cause various problems, like yours for example, most likely the same sensor but two different issues, yet it would seem your fan works!
Thanks
