Classic quick rack
My Type R has just sprung a leak from the input shaft on it's quick rack so I'm looking for a replacement - 2.25 turns lock to lock.
Thanks

Hens teeth in a haysatck there fella.
your best off just sticking a standard 2.75 in for now and getting yours rebuilt at westernpowersteering in bristol. It'll cost £200, but i doubt youll find a classic 2.25 anytime soon, let alone for less than that plus the cost of a 2.75 stopgap. And that way you essentially get a brand spankin new rack! they will need it for a few weeks though!
If you do go that route, make sure you definately specify that its not an exchange rack!
Thats my 2p anyway.

yeah, I've been quoted £60-£160 + VAT depending on what needs doing.
mine came with a 2.75 for some reason. What does it take to fit a newage rack to a classic?

hybrid drop link needs making, and the lines need bending and fettling to get to the newage position.
Not difficult, just time consuming and enfuriating!
I run a newage in a classic, forunately faffing the lines was ok as the engine was out! engine in it would be a mare!
